ERIR – Developing the Unified Archeological Information System

Project presentation:
The purpose of the project is to develop a complex IT system which is able to offer cost-effective complex services and software solutions to Hungarian and other museums and research institutions in ASP model. Researchers’ information systems play an increasingly important and significant role in the economic and cultural life.

Thanks to the economic development, the number of scientific studies has increased and this has made complex IT systems run by advanced server environments essential. Investment in construction and other projects has been increased tremendously, therefore museums and research institutes have to deal with more and more tasks and process significantly higher amount of data than before. Processing these with modern technical devices in an efficient way is a difficult and expensive task.

Using the system under development makes it possible to solve these tasks cost-efficiently with the help of cutting edge software and hardware. The system is is also can be used in several scientific and economical fields in general, therefore it can be widely promoted.
